Dance and Theatre Shows
One of our specialist, and most enjoyable, areas of video production is in the exciting world of entertainment and the performing arts. When we record a dance or theatre show our dedication and experience ensure that the theme and choreography are captured and portrayed exactly as intended by the producers and choreographers.

Recording the Perfect Dance Show Video
Our lifelong affiliation with music and the performing arts constantly inspires us to produce the best dance and theatre show videos possible. We liaise closely with the co-ordinators, show producers and teachers so that we are completely aware of every aspect of the show.

Then we put our experience and creative skills to good use, editing out pauses, breaks and other unnecessary material. We always ensure our edits are sympathetic to the rhythm and tempo of the piece and will showcase the choreography and music to their best effect. The audio is edited to remove unwanted theatre noise then mixed, balanced and encoded to Dolby digital stereo to produce a crystal clear soundtrack. To complete the production, Hollywood-style rolling credits listing all cast and teachers are added. The final master is then authored to DVD or High Definition Blu-ray disc with scene selection and chapter menus before duplication and delivery.

Presentation
Each DVD/Blu-ray disc face is designed and printed in colour with your logo or chosen theme then packaged in a quality case with colour insert incorporating the Institute of Videography’s authenticity hologram. To complete the presentation, each case is individually wrapped and sealed before delivery to the school. We also provide three complimentary DVDs for promotional purposes.

Technical Information
Whenever possible we use a minimum of three High Definition cameras and up to eight microphones for stage productions, as well as taking a live audio feed from the theatre sound desk.

·   Camera 1 – Zoomed long shot from the rear of theatre
·   Camera 2 – Front of stage for close-ups and mood shots
·   Camera 3 – Fixed long shot

Camera 3 is uncut and unedited, and can be used as a reference by the school for choreography and educational purposes.
